For just over $100 for the year- they'll cover you in just about any circumstance that might come up on the road in Europe.
Free roadside repair.
Free transportation of auto back to Germany from anywhere in Europe if car dies.

Free accomodation in case of sickness.
Free towing.
Free accomodation for entire family.
It's a good deal especially if you plan to travel at all in Europe.
Anyhow.. the reason I'm even spending time blogging this?
We called an agent this morning {happens to be Iranian, not a German- going off the referral of a friend} to add it.
He told Jim on the phone that he was closed since it is Good Friday, but he'd go ahead and meet him at his office to add us.
While there he let Jim know there is a 10,000 Euro fine if he's opened on German holidays. That's over $13,000 USD. Wow.
He sold it to Jim keeping the rolladens closed. Can't say we blame him.
