To letter in track, you have to do one of three things. Earn a certain number of points throughout the short season. Qualify for Europeans in an event. Or, be selected for a letter by the coach.
Qualifying for Europeans earned Ty his first track letter- something he earned and was super excited to receive.

Justin got his pin as well.

It was a nice dinner catered by the culinary instructor at the high school. The kids received their letters, special awards were given and the seniors were acknowledged.

At the end of the evening, I asked my boys for a picture together.

They usually give me grief and can't get close enough to be in the same frame.

For the picture above, I didn't even have to ask them to get closer.

They did it on their own.

Enough to make a mama almost cry.
