Here are a couple of pictures from this month... Justin and Ty climbing the rock wall, Starr and Uncle Mac's visit, Caden getting the tingler on his head, Coleman and Aunt Tam!

Reservations

We're really moving! We just found out yesterday that we are free to leave Alaska in July! YEAH! We have reservations to leave July 16th. Most kids do well on red-eye flights because they sleep all night... but, taking in to consideration that our kids don't really like to sleep we decided to try a day flight! It will be a long day, but hopefully we'll be able to keep them entertained. We got G'ma's ticket to fly down that night, so she'll just be a couple of hours behind us. She's grateful for her ticket however disappointed that she's not on the same flights as us... She might actually get to read her book! We're set to close on our house July 19th... It's all working out... just as Jim's been telling me from the beginning. I have just had to learn some patience with so much out of our control. Here are a couple fun pictures from G'a & G'pa's house last night!

Little Curls

Especially on days like today... he's lucky we think he's so cute! Up at 6:30 this morning, he hasn't stopped fussing, squawking, or screaming since! Our Caden is the sweetest little guy, but fiesty as can be! He's the most strong-willed kid and probably so being that he has to hold his own with three older brothers! Everything is pushed to the limit with him... I say "one"... he says "five!"... I say "up"... he says "down"... I say "walk on the sidewalk..." he walks on the curb, darting to the street if he can! Gotta love his little curls and sweet smile, though!!

Fast Forward

There are times, I wish things would slow down and other times that could speed up! This is a time that I wish I could fast forward about a month!! With most of our house packed, we're just waiting to see when we're leaving. It seems a bit backward to me but, I'm learning that this is how the military works. Hurry up and wait! We're still waiting to find out if we get orders to leave mid-July... at the worst it will be August 1st. In the meantime, I know the cleaning (since we're in base housing right now), loading our 45' container, unloading, and move are going to be a LOT of work! We're pretty excited to actually see our new house...our new neighborhood... base... school... and state of Kansas!

Here's a picture of our new house (yes, we signed a contract sight unseen... that is the Jim & Sheila way of doing things, right?). This is actually before being painted! Sitting on 3/4 of an acre, we have a lot of work waiting ahead for us... fun work, at least!

Our Day in Court

Today, we finally had our day in court! After 4 1/2 hrs of testimony, the Judge awarded us our petition for adoption! Finally, it's legal! We're so excited and relieved! We had so much family support and love... and are full of gratitude! Both boys had to testify in front of the Judge in the open court room and did great under so much pressure!
We're happy to finally have this goal reached for our family!
Justin Alexander Dickey &
Tyler Aaron Dickey
We let the boys pick new middle names... they both wanted the middle initial A... just like Jim. Finally... they both have names that they're proud of!! It's a fresh beginning!
Outside the court house ... some stress relief!
My face is a bit puffy and red from so much crying... tears of pure joy!
It's a day we'll never forget!
