The first time I ever heard of Skype was watching Oprah listening to her rave about it. That was a couple years ago. Never did I even imagine what a lifeline it would be to us. We {l o v e} Skype. It has definitely helped us feel a bit more connected with our family as this move has been a little isolating to say the least. It's made the miles between Australia, Alaska, Kansas, Illinois, Utah and here just a little bit closer. Caden especially loves to Skype, but often gets a little camera shy once someone answers his call appearing on the screen. He knows how to call and how to answer which came in handy a couple weeks ago when Grandma Burgan called. I was downstairs reading and heard him talking up in my room- nothing unusual since he talks pretty much non-stop from the second he wakes up until he crashes each night. Once he finished, he came down and let me know he was "skypin'" with Grandma. It wasn't until much later that I realized he chatted for a whole 20 minutes and had a wonderful conversation.

This last month, we've been tapping in to our neighbor's wireless signal- with their permission, of course. Tomorrow, we finally should have our very own Internet set up. Hopefully, our connection will be a little better than it has been. Fuzzy or not, it's been a huge lift to our spirits to be able to see and talk to family and friends. Jim found out today we're number ninety-six (96) on the wait list for a 4-bedroom house on base. Wonder how long that will take... Guess I'll go ahead and hang pictures here, sounds like we won't be moving (again) any time soon.
